How to Take Care of your Noctum Pieces

Latex Care

Caring for your Noctum pieces means acknowledging the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into each design. Latex is a stunning but delicate material that requires special care to keep your Noctum pieces bold and striking. Make caring for your unique pieces a ritual.

Important Tips

  • If you have a latex allergy, avoid wearing latex as it can cause allergic reactions.

  • Avoid contact with metal, sharp objects, and harsh chemicals, as these can damage latex. Discoloration may also occur. The only metal allowed near latex is stainless steel, which does not cause color changes.

  • Light and translucent latex is sensitive to color changes. Store separately in a dark bag and with pieces of the same color.

  • Do not expose latex to high heat or direct sunlight.

Washing & Oiling & Drying

  • Wash latex by hand with lukewarm water and a special latex cleaner after every use. We recommend from beGLOSS. Avoid harsh chemicals. Leave immersed in the bath for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

  • Now the latex is clean and you can choose if you like to store the latex powdered or oiled. We recommend the oiled method. Soak latex briefly in lukewarm water with a little latex silicone oil. Skip oiling if latex needs repair, powder before storing.

  • Dry by hanging on a plastic hanger, away from direct sunlight. You can also use paper towels and wipe the water droplets from the outside and inside of the garment. You can also turn the garment inside out. This will speed up the drying process.

  • Latex looks lighter and spotty when wet but returns to normal when dry. Drying can take several days.

Be careful, the oil is very slippery. You can put a piece of cloth on the floor under the drying latex pieces and wash well with soap after drying.

Storage

  • Store dried latex in a plastic box or bag, or hang on a plastic hanger (never metal). Place the same colors next to each other.

  • Keep stored latex away from light, heat, metals, and chemicals.

  • Store powdered and oiled latex pieces separately.

By following these steps, your latex garments will retain their unique look and last much longer.
