Noctum x Antigona performance

The recent performance at the Prague Fetish Weekend (14.–17. 11. 2024) marked a significant milestone for Noctum, our brand that embodies the spirit of avant-garde fetish wear. This unique event was not just a fashion show, it was an immersive experience that showcased the essence of Noctum through a blend of artistic expression, dance, and individual identity. This was only possible thanks to the creative collaboration with Antigona Crew, who also took care of the choreography.

Dive into the atmosphere of the evening with our report.

The Transformation is Coming

The performance started with Tereza Silon´s somatic vocal entry. Silon captivated the audience with their sound piece inspired by their work "Good Gardens" (2023-now) and "ESOPHAGUS: EveryBody Ecstatic" (2021). Their introduction set the tone for what was to come — an unconventional showcase that promised to challenge expectations and engage the senses. From the very beginning it was clear that this would not be a traditional runway show. Silon tried to create an atmosphere that was both intriguing and unsettling, altering the energy of the space dramatically.

As Silon's performance unfolded, Tomáš from the Antigona crew entered, bringing his dynamic movement and energy to the stage. Accompanied by the music piece Serpent scan from Halv Drøm, who created also the sound for the first video of our production. The playful interaction of Silon and Tomáš created a lively scene filled with vitality and sensuality. This initial collaboration laid the groundwork for a deeper exploration of identity and self-expression.

A Collective Journey of Self-Expression

As more performers joined in, the stage transformed into a vibrant tapestry of personalities flowing through the space. The performance reached a pivotal moment when attention focused on Tomáš, who confronted his inner demons at center stage. Surrounded by fellow performers, he underwent a symbolic transformation — a moment when his look was enhanced with additional pieces from Noctum's collection. This act represented not just a change in appearance but a transformation of self, capturing the brand's ethos of embracing individuality.

The culmination of the performance brought all elements together at the front of the stage, highlighting Noctum's spirit — an embodiment of shadow play, sensuality and uniqueness.

Celebrating Diversity and Individuality

Each outfit was made to reflect the original characteristics of its wearer, emphasizing their individuality rather than enforcing uniformity. The makeup and styling were also designed to celebrate each performer's essence, ensuring they felt empowered and authentic.

This performance was a celebration of queerness, self-expression, and community. It showcased how fashion can transcend mere aesthetics to become a powerful medium for personal storytelling and embrace diversity in all its forms.

None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the great organizers. Our Thanks goes to the whole Fetish Weekend crew for creating a safe space and caring atmosphere for this show.

  3. What are your passions?

  4. What does Noctum means to you?

  5. Where or how do you recharge?

Tomáš Sedláček (Antigona)

Tereza Silon

1. How do you identify yourself?

´I´m a fountain of blood in a shape of a girl*´ (Björk). Dancing molecules. *laughter* Born to be a prince*ss, forced to be a resilient single parent to my inner child. In terms of gender I am fluid. In terms of desires I am expansive. I am pretty cosmic, very human, but also have a bit of an annoying intellectual streak. It can also be heplful and grounding though. I am a loverboy and a poet deep inside my heart and bones. And this world asks me to fight too much.

2. What are you doing?

I consider myself an art researcher, a curious playful minx, a performer, an experimental herbalist (yes I also have a foundation of clinical naturopathy) and socio-critical bodyworker. The roots of my performance work are not only in a somatic and perception work, but also in drag and burlesque. I consider myself a critical sensualist. I believe it is my relaxed and lasting interest in the erotic, specifically fetish, kink and BDSM that I first encountered as an early teenager and that later led me to questioning societal herarchical and non-consensual power constructs and structures. (Why are not all kinksters automatically aspiring abolitionists?) I do all I have and can do to survive and experience some magic along the way. I often alchemize gold out of shit. I try to see if I can help to win fair conditions for us all to play. I am saddened by the state of the world but I know no other better or more beautiful place to be right now.

3. What are your passions?

PLANTS. TOUCH. DANCE. WATER. PEOPLE GETTING JUSTICE. POETRY.

4. What does Noctum means to you?

A project of my talented friend that I see bridges their passions and is an attempt to use fashion in order to empower people erotically as well as to embrace some deeper desires and work against the grain of societal shaming. It is a manufacture of products, but I am always interested in the knowledges art production or other productions birth.

5. Where or how do you recharge?

Amid the trees. By a body of water, big bodies of water, small ones too. In the arms of beloveds who hold me without holding me down, who look at me and see my past and future lives. In places where I can be right-sized unapologetically or where I can ugly laugh and ugly cry. Quietly reading or having my little nerdy sessions. Dancing, always. And listening to music.
